The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Secretariat is taking the lead in organizing the Third Caribbean Sustainable Energy Forum (CSEF III) and Exhibition. The planning and implementation of all activities will be spearheaded by the Energy Unit within the CARICOM Secretariat which falls under the Trade, Economic and Integration Division. The Energy Unit was established in the first half of 2008 with a mandate to implement a CARICOM Energy Programme.

Some of the mandates of the CARICOM Energy Programme are the finalization of the Regional Energy Policy and the establishment of a Sustainable Energy Roadmap and Strategy.

Other key partners and sponsors include the Government of Saint Kitts and Nevis, the Government of Finland, the Government of Germany, the British Government and the European Union.
